Did you know that CV-Res-Q™ has much broader application than just cardiovascular health? It is the perfect formula to support graceful aging and long-term health.
While it is true that CV-Res-Q™ is an essential formula for any cardio protocol, its ability to improve mitochondrial efficiency and cellular function extends its therapeutic value to all chronic illness associated with age-related decline. Featuring state-of-the-art ingredients, CV-Res-Q™ contains some of the most well-researched herbal extracts and nutritional compounds for increasing longevity, health and vitality.
Spotlight on Featured ingredients:
Resvenox®
This patented state-of-the-art herbal extract is manufactured exclusively by the Sabinsa corporation and contains 98% pure trans-resveratrol. Resveratrol is a naturally occurring plant cytokine found in grape skin, Japanese knotweed, as well as a few other plants. In nature, resveratrol protects plants from fungal attack during the rainy season. Modern research has proven that it exerts numerous health protective actions in vitro, ex vivo, and in animal experiments. One such area of increasing research is longevity, as resveratrol has been shown to positively influence the sirtuin enzymes. The sirtuin enzyme set appears to be responsible for preserving the lives of cells. Studies suggest that resveratrol can extend the life of yeast, round worms, fish and mice. The list of additional therapeutic benefits includes neurological protection, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant activity, cellular repair, immune enhancement and antiviral.

Ubiquinone and Ubiquinol
Both ubiquinone (CoQ10) and ubiquinol (reduced CoQ10) were chosen for this formulation, making it quite unique in the marketplace. While the general trend in CoQ10 supplementation has been a move towards ubiquinol over ubiquinone (due to concern over conversion issues in the aging), the actual function of these two compounds differs greatly.
Ubiquinone functions as a cofactor which stimulates the synthesis of energy in the electron transport system within the inner membrane of mitochondria. 95% of a cell’s energy is produced in this manner through a process called oxidative phosphorylation. Ubiquinone is essential for all life forms that use oxygen in their metabolic process to produce energy.
Ubiquinol functions as an antioxidant in the lymph, blood and in the phospholipid membranes of cells and cell organelles. When working as an antioxidant, it gives up an electron to neutralize free radicals produced both endogenously (by metabolic processes) and exogenously (from environment pollutants/toxins). When ubiquinol functions as an antioxidant it cycles to the ubiquinone form.
Again, both forms of CoQ10 have uniquely different functions and as such one form is no more bioactive than the other. This is our rationale for the inclusion of both forms.
Stabilized R+Lipoic Acid
Lipoic acid has been well-researched for its many therapeutic effects on the body. Its function as a coenzyme is essential for ATP production and cellular efficiency. Alpha lipoic acid facilitates the break down of sugars for energy through cellular respiration. It is also an extraordinarily broad spectrum antioxidant able to quench a wide range of free radicals in both aqueous (water) and lipid (fat) domains. Moreover, it has the remarkable ability to recycle several other important antioxidants including vitamins C and E, glutathione and coenzyme Q10, as well as itself! For these reasons, alpha lipoic acid has been called the universal antioxidant. In addition to serving as the hub of the body’s antioxidant network, lipoic acid is the only antioxidant that can boost the level of intracellular glutathione, a cellular antioxidant of tremendous importance. Besides being the body’s primary water-soluble antioxidant and a major detoxification agent, glutathione is absolutely essential for the functioning of the immune system.
Unfortunately, standard R-lipoic acid is heat sensitive and can polymerize easily, significantly decreasing its absorption. CV-Res-Q™ contains the sodium salt of R-lipoic acid. Unlike standard R-lipoic acid, stabilized R+lipoic acid will not degrade at high temperatures, and is more bioavailable.
